Taking part in Spit for Science after VCU

Spit for Science is not just for college students – Spit for Science participants’ contributions to science go beyond the college years!

Although Spit for Science begins in the college years, our participants can continue to take part in research well after their time at VCU. In doing so, their participation allows scientists to reach a better understanding of how factors in the college years can influence health and wellbeing in adulthood. Researchers can then translate their findings back to the university to help inform how VCU can continuously support our college students in ways that lead to the best possible outcomes at college and later on in life. Taking part in Spit for Science “Beyond” the college years is an incredibly valuable way that S4S participants can contribute to scientific knowledge that aims to improve the lives of others.
